View Full Version : Problems seeing solo2 on network

Hey guys
Have been running my vu duo for a few years now and now i bought a new solo2.
But i cant acces it from db edit or dcc which has been doing fine on the duo..
Im running vix 3.0.643.
I can see the webif when i type in the box ip...
I can ping the box from db edit but not use the ftp..
The solo2 does not appear in workgroup like my duo...

Please help :)

install and activate samba in network settings.

Yeah but it is already activated as default right ? I can see other on network from solo2..

I am not sure if samba is activated as default.


I can see other on network from solo2..
for this you only need samba client. If others should see your solo the server is needed.

My Solo2 is seen in the windows network.

Ok, I have installed samba and activated and a new group came (vuplus) came up on my network... But i cant acces it and dcc+dbedit is still not working..is there any config to be made ? Any other config program which is better for solo2 ?

Nope: DCC works fine here without any special setting.
Which version are you using? It should be DCC-E2v1.46 or DCC-E2v1.50

Ok i got it now, it was pretty simple.. I performed a restore at first and then tried to configure.. It works perfectly now... So dont start a new machine with and old backyp :D
