In build 653 all should be fine. 654 is experimental for PTS-recoding.

Title changed. Ideally we would need to see those crash logs to be able to find out whats going wrong. as i said in the other thread i would advise moving logs to a USB stick, this way they wont get lost in a reflash etc.
as for Build 654 there is a known problem with media playback causing a BSoD for which andy has made a test fix in build 655.

Do you need logs i can uprade again and get log
Do you need logs i can uprade again and get log
if you can that would be great, unless you want to wait for 655 to test that and see if the same happens when that one is uploaded.

In the meantime this problem has been fixed; build 655 with the fix will be online shortly.

Is it possible to software update only to level 653 using box, as when i try it goes automatically to 654?
Is it possible to software update only to level 653 using box, as when i try it goes automatically to 654?
no thats not possible as the newer unstable update is the latest.
you can however make a settings backup and restore that to the box after manually flashing build 653 from www.openvix.co.uk
ill wait for 655. as new flash would loose all my current settings etc

No: as usual make a settings backup and your system will be restored completely during the First Install Wizard.

I have a full image backup, is this what you mean?
Whenever ive reflashed an upgrade in past i then have to reinstall cccam, run tuner search etc are you saying way round this?
Not full image backup, just normal backup ;)
so does this save my cams, tuner config etc?
yep, I use it all the time
Blue button> ViX> Backup manager.
This makes a backup of all your settings and config files, should also include all installed plugins too.

History ZAP works on short << >> press.
Double check the build number - my uno updated to 654 so I had to update again to get 655. History zap works fine
History zap at build 655 on vuuno - NOT working
edit - working on long press < > , so is that how "new" zap history should work ?
there is 2 ways it can work, either via a menu list or just Zap, configure it how you want via Button setup.

Euuhhhh?
< and > is rewind and fast forward; skip-back/forward (<< and >>) does the history zap. Has been so for years..............
Nothing I have ever changed in that area.........

in button setup i can change to - zap or history zap menu . i know that because i have changed nothing from previous build . i'm using history zap menu its best for my needs , and what i'm trying to say here is that although i have changed nothing in my button setup now i have to long press < or > to get zap history menu and on short press nothing is happening .
