All,

Please can someone help...

I have struggled for a couple of weeks now (on and off) to try to sort out transcoding.

I can get it to work internally but am struggling via WIFI but it is glitchy is there anything I can do to improve this?.

I am on Talk Talk so have a dynamic IP I think.... so I know this is something I have to sort but will hopefully sort that next.

The router I am using is:

HG523a

Interface: nas_0_38
Protocol: TCP
Remote host:
External start port: 8002
External end port: 8002
Internal host: 162.168.1.X
Internal port: 8002
Mapping name: VU +

I have populated it with the data I have tried so far....

Please can someone confirm this is correct? I have seen port 80 mentioned in some of the tutorials?

I am sure there will be more questions to come!

Thanks in advance.

Firstly you need to forward ports 80 and 8002. Also a good idea to enable authentification and setup a password, just to be on the safe side.
I find the vu+ player the best for streaming to phone or tablet, so might want to give it a try.
Also need to know what image you are using as the driver release back in February improved the transcoding a lot.
