Thats perfectly fine, but if your worried you can increase the fan speed to lower the temperature.

No no not planning on increasing the fan speed if there's no need to, was just wondering if it was a normal operating temp as I have never noticed it that high before. Thanks

As we head towards summer the ambient temperature is bound to increase a few degrees.

At what temp should I start to get a little worried and think about increasing the fan speeds :)

I cant remember my exact fan settings but as my Solo2 is ontop of a pile of 5 other receivers, I tend to have my fan turned up a little to keep it at around 35 degrees.

No need to worry at all: when the chipset is getting too hot, the box will switch off.

I just noticed the temp on my solo2 was reading 30 degrees which I thought was high, obviously not. It's good to know that the box will power off should the chipset get too hot. Thanks for clarifying this.

My Ultimo is on top of my amplifier, I have the fan always rather fast and temperature is mostly high in the forties. This box is never in deep sleep; my other boxes are always switched off when not in use (so I can't say much about temperature after hours of activity).

Just checked my Ultimo, and that's running at 37 after just turning on (altho is left in normal standby).

My twin has been known to regularly go on to high 50s low 60s... Both are Neff to each other, so just shows the twin will go higher, and still ok...
