Ext Hard Drive connected via USB port is not being recognised via USB port.
USB disk works fine.
The ext drive works fine when connected to the laptop.

What filesystem does the drive have? If NTFS make sure to install the NTFS drivers.

Yes the File system is NTFS, can you tell me a bit more about the NTFS drivers, where to get them and install them etc..

You need to install a driver, this is done from the plugins :) NTFS-3G its called.
