Skybox to Solo2

Hi guys, new to this so please bear with me.

Two weeks ago I bought the skybox f5 and have tinkered away quite happily since. The thing is I'm quite geeky and love to tinker, and I think I've run out of things I can tinker with on the f5.

Since getting this box I've been reading up on the solo2 and I'm quite keen. It looks a decent unit.

My question is can I transfer the cccam.cfg file from the f5 into this new box?

Any help would be appreciated before I take the plunge.

have a look at the guide in my Sig that relates to the setting up of a box.. im unsure if the it will be compatible but you could always make a new one :thumbsup:

cccam.cfg is the same file for all enigma2 boxes

Short answer yes, although there is a little more setup involved.

if you are using a official sky card and want to clear movie and sports then you will need a box key, you can try you current config file but if not its not hard to make a new one :thumbsup:

if you search box key there are various threads on the subject! if you are getting a solo2 i am majorly jealous as i want one but wasn't out at the time and ended up with a TM-Twin although i cant fault it at all!

Haha. I just switched my duo for my solo2 without telling the wife whilst she was away.
I was wondering if she'd notice, but she didn't.
She would've gone mental if she knew I'd spent £300 on another sat box.
