Hi all,

I am following some generic instructions intended for Dreambox I found to add http streams to a playlist on my Vu+ Duo, but have not been able to get a stream to work. I am testing the streams in VLC on a PC first to make sure they are working. What I am doing is editing the userbouquet.favourites.tv in etc/enigma2/ to include something like the following

#NAME Favourites (TV)
#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3A//mymobilestreamingserver:1234/playlist.m3u8:CNN
#DESCRIPTION CNN
After a reboot, the stream name shows up in my Favourites playlist (in this example, I see "CNN") but when i try to watch it, i get a black screen and nothing happens.

I've read somewhere that a plugin called GStreamer needs to be installed for this to work. I've not seen that listed in the plugin feeds, but there is a GStreamer directory on my box so I thought it might be a standard part of the Vix image.

There is a plugin available in the feeds that allows you to enter stream URLs into a playlist. However this seems to create the URL in the wrong format and it ends up not even showing up in the playlist after a reboot.

I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks
