Blackhole updating

Hi just after some info please I've got a VU+Duo box running a older version of black hole and have downloaded a newer version off this site no a couple of question please
1. can I just update it from a usb stick
2. if so will it keep all my other setting e.g enigmaII etc or by doing an update will I have to sort out every thing

The update will wipe all existing settings on the receiver as your flashing a new image, you can backup things like channel bouquets and and cam settings but every thing else will have to be setup again. also all recordings you have will be ok providing you do not initialize the HDD again.#

This is what I was concerned with is there and idiots guide to setting all of this up As I purchased my box completly set up I have a copy of dreambox control centre and have viewed the info on my box but dont know what I will need to save
The main issues I'm having with my box is epg's and some channels with sound off another channel mainly music channels. Help:confused:
