Hi all

I am about to update to the latest Vix image 3.0.649 (unless there is another you can point me to)
and I was wondering if I update, will I loose all recording on my HDD.?

No you should not loose recording

Yes.. Thats the latest public image..

No.. You will not loose your recordings unless you initialize your HDD.. Which you do NOT have to do when reflashing..

I have re-flashed but have a couple of questions.

Is CCCam 2.3.0 the latest version?
Which directory does the cam file go into?

yeah, that's the latest version.
is it an ipk or the binary?
if the ipk, upload it to /tmp/ then Blue button -> ViX - Install local extension
if it's the binary file, just ftp it to /usr/softcams/ & chmod 755

you also need to add your Cccam.cfg to /etc/

Its an IPK, and it is exactly what I have done.
Done a scan and loaded channel list
But... No channels appear except Itv and BBC etc.

Where am I going wrong, What am I missing?

Has the cam started ? Have you checked your ip addy. Have you checked your network. Menu>system > network > device setup > network test ?
