Help ABM wont scan !!

Hi,

I am new to this so be patient, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, I cannot get ABM to scan, it keeps coming back with "Timeout for tuner lock", I am using the VIX image - version 3.0 build 649, on a new Solo2 box. This is setup from a backup image. I have a 60cm dish pointing at 28.2E and have no issues with 2 other tuners in the house running off this dish with good signal strength.

I have tried disabling both tuners to make sure the other was working OK, I've even tried switching the cables at the back of tuner, but both tuners seem to be working OK, both are tuned to 28.2E

I'd love any help with this as its driving me banannas!! :confused::confused:

Apart from this I have to say I love the look of the VIX image!!

Try setting up the image your self rather than using a backup image.

if you need help with this let us know and we will help but we cant support backup images created by third parties.

Thanks, I had been trying that with a blackhole image but was running into a lot of issues (didn't know what I was at) so instead downloaded a backup image to get me going. Is there a step by step" idiots"guide I could read on the VIX image as I was very impresses with the look of it??

There is a tutorial on the forum based on one i wrote for the Duo which is pretty much the same process for all Vu+ machines. To be honest it's very easy to flash and setup a Vu+ receiver from scratch and you have the added security of knowing whats been included in the image rather than using some one else's Backup which you have no idea whats been included or not.
