I have the above telly and need some help with a couple of settings.

Any one know how to disable overscan

and I have the STB connected via scart to component but cannot get any audio, normal scart is fine:confused::confused:

On my samsung its called full picture.

Think you need to use audio cables, when using component(only Picture)

This is a 5 cable lead and has audio in left/right.

I have tried box and cable now on this and a Panasonic GT20B and same result.

For turn off overscan on my Samsung its: picture settings>screen adjustment>screen fit.

As for your audio problem I suspect the lead is connected to the scart audio in pins rather than the audio out.
Open up the scart plug and see which pins of the following audio is connected to,

Audio out is pins 1&3 (should be what you need)

Audio in is pins 2&6

Pin 4 is Audio ground - make sure this is connected

On that model of Samsung the audio input L/R is alongside the Component input connectors

Complete bit of plonkerism on my part, I thought these things were only one way ie from scart to component but should have read the bloody description as it says "1.5 Metre 5 RCA Component + Audio Out to Scart In Cable":eek:

Cheers buddy, all sorted, did as you suggested and I now have sound.

Moral of story, read the frigging description fully before buying:D:D

Have to say not quite HD but better than SD
