Hi, just recently flashed version 643 by USB.
Did not restore any backups, did a clean install but have an issue with CrossEPG.

It gets to the point of 'parsing summaries' then hangs, normally it 'saves data' and then switches back to the viewing channel.

I've FTP'd to my box and there is no epg.dat file written.

Hi, This has happend to me just now, on build 643.
What I did was ftp to he box and deleted all the crossepg folders, and epg.dat. From both the HDD and USB. Then restart box. Then download cross epg again. Hope this helps.

Happened me as well - I deleted the epg.dat from the USB and restarted but still had the same problem. I changed the EPG location (from USB to HDD) and downloaded it again and it worked fine.

Also had the same issue and changed location to HDD yesterday and it was fine, But today I have the same issue again. Just updated to build 644 maybe this will help

Is it possible the epg was going to the internal flash.
When its parsing its expanding the EPG which overloads the internal flash.
Ive seen this happen before...

Not enitrely related to this but there is a slight bug in CEPG with file locations, which Andy has fixed and will be in the next update

I'm now on 644 and restored a previous backup which has solved the issue for now although not ideal as I wanted to avoid restoring from a backup due to other issues I've been having.

online update...

quick question judge, if you don't mind.. When I select software update I get the message "nothing to upgrade" cant figure out why I'm getting this message, if there is a new build 645 available, what would cause this? Network connection is active and good..

have you unstable updates enabled?
if so & it's still not updating, give it a few hours, all images mightn't be online yet.

That's it, didn't have unstable updates enabled. All working fine again. Nice one judge, have a great weekend:thumbsup:
