could you please start to post ipk's of plugin's that work 100% with ViX that NOT in our feeds, and i will add them to the feeds form every to use.

please don't start talking about them (i will delete the messages) i just want to build a list of plugin's that are NOT in our feeds but work with ViX 100% cheers

this embedded into Vix if you install as well, you WILL get issues.

Want to setup automatic audio track? Fed up resetting audio on MTV and VH1 channels. Want to set auto english audio on Non UK channels where available. Then you need 2lang. For 2LANG to work you also need to install 2sub, 2sub is for subtitles and shows in the plugins-list and can be configured to your liking. As far as im aware 2sub does not work in duo, but it will let you configure audio for 2lang.

2lang is for automatic audio tracks and does not show in the plugins-list: it uses configuration from 2Sub when choosing preferred audio tracks.

Its best to use both plugins: you cant use 2lang alone

Disclamer: this has been used by a few users without error but i recomend getting a backup of your image first just incase you get green screen after.

log into box via telnet

type:

ipkg list

This will list all installed packages
Find the package name of the item you want to remove then

type:

ipkg remove package (changing package to actual package name without the .ipk)

That said, I downloaded both 2sub and 2lang, ftp'd them into /tmp, and first tried to install 2sub using the IPK Installer in ViX Menu. The install seemed to progress until just hanging and causing the receiver to freeze.
Am I doing it wrongly or are one or both of these ipks only working in a specific image? I'm using ViX 1.3 at the moment.

Hi guys i dont know if im posting in the right place put i installed the infinity HD skin ipk found in this forum under skins and it works a treat no problems so far good skin, just ftp to temp and upload into box go back into set up and choose the skin the gui restarts and skin up and running!!!!cheers guys

I installed 2lang it installed fne then i went to install 2sub and your right i did'nt freeze the box but the bog just hung with the small spinner just going i eventually restarted box

I had 2lang installed in VIX version 1.2 When i reflashed to Version 1.3 2lang still working. So if you install VIX 1.2, install 2lang and 2sub, Then reflash to VIX 1.3 all should be ok. Temporary fix until someone comes up with something better.

The file is here:

The radiochannels can be chosen at http://www.shoutcast.com/.
The parameters are written in the favorites-file like this example:

Yes, you are right. In Open Pli the genre-list can be downloaded and stations under them, but not the total station-list.
There are hundreds of radio stations. I find it more practical to select the ones I want with my PC and then create the favorite-file.
Favorite-file can be saved and used again after reflashing.
I have noticed that other bit rates than 128 are hardly audible. Therefore, it is easier do select only 128 bit rates and collect the favorite list among them.

I suspect that autobackup on HDD will leave out the question of restore option when reflashing. Clean installation will be omitted. That will cause some problems. This has happened to me before I realized that I have to clean Vu+Duo HDD first. Better have files saved somewhere else separately.

And in any case: just renaming the backup folder on the HDD is sufficient to omit a restore.

Yes, that is a good way to avoid the problem. But that must be remembered.

in the ViX HD skin, does not use 2nd infobar, so thus all the ecm info etc is in the main infobar, 2nd ok press just opens the event info for current event. but magic supports the 2ndinfo bar so people are needing to instal the extra plugin to see the extra info. and thus loosing the event info for current event on 2nd ok press.

maybe you could change the main info bar to include the below info, and then you could just remove the 2nd infobar from skin. and people would then not need the extra plguni.

The Magic-skins have been made to give an easy look and feel: not being distracted by visual effects, and only providing info that is useful.

For most people the ECM-info is not useful, so there is no point in incorporating it in the infobar. That was the reason to place it in the SIB, so people can make a choice if they want to use/see it or not. Later on it was decided to add program-info to the SIB as well, so now the SIB is more or less the same as the standard "2 x OK" in ViX (and also visual by using 2 x OK).

if you had a greenscreen crash submit the log it generated so we can try to see why. without submitting crashlogs, you may as well not post bug reports.

You no longer this this plugin with up to date vix. Just go to menu/setup/system/auto language selection and select your preferred audio.
Or
menu/setup/system/subtitle settings to setup subtitles.

I've done the settings so preferred audio language is English. My settings here:

Then when I switch to a German channel it still plays in its default language and not in English even though there is a audio stream playing in English. I have to manually select it. Here's a screenshot:

Brilliant. I've set mines to first language to be English then second as Original. Now most of the channels I flick across the satellites now come to english. Even if the audio at times says undetermined esp ITA channels they are often chosen by default now.

WebMedia 9.2 crashes on ViX. I tried to apply the changes from 9.1 but with no luck.

Ok i have delate WebMedia. I have now Test with play longer then five sekonds on each channel. It crashes.

We have 'RecordInfobar' on the feeds: IMHO that does a better job then 'InfobarTunerstate'

But this is a poor substitute. And the settings have a bug.
- I can not change x and y position. At the top of the screen very little of it is visible. Overscan is ok. All other screens fit.

1- What's poor?
2- What do you want to change? Which skin did you use?
3- What has overscan to do with this?

I did a lot of testing myself before choosing to add 'RecordInfobar' to the feeds and not 'InfobarTunerstate' si I really need to know more.

Hi,
the size of OSD in HD is 1280x720. If you do not see everything either switch off overscan on your TV or set the OSD size in OSD settings.

The forum is overfilled with advises to switch overscan of your TV off......... Don't blame a skin or a plugin for that!

Guys, the OSD on this plugin doesn't resize with Position Setup.
Also, using the built in plugins function to move this screen doesn't work, it's a plugin problem.

not exactly, cause it's also a TV problem. If you can turn overscan off I presume the window will show as it should, although you still won't be able to move the window because of the plugin bug.
