Apologies if this is a stupod question but what is CROSSEPG and coolman?

I know the epg is diff when you press EPG on the remote and when you press red and orange.

Also by default what EPG are enabled in the VIX 1.1 image as I have not changed anything as it does what I need:):)
I have seen all of these but left well alone, Cool EPG, CrossEpg, RyVix

crossepg > a method to retrieve epg channels data into the duo and the same is done by Rytec/RyVix
coolman > the plugin used to display collected data by crossepg or RyVix when u press on ur epg on the remote control

How do you upload it manually as just reflashed as Autotimer was messed up and it only goes to Wednesday on 5HD?
