View Full Version : [VU+ Duo] Problem with boot screen after installing ccam

Once ccam is installed and enabled in VIX (I've tried multiple image versions), my vu duo will not boot. It just sits at the screen with the spinning vix. The only way to get it working again is to reinstall the image and ccam (enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.2.1_1.0-r0). All works perfectly until the box reboots, then the same thing happens again. I read elsewhere about a possible problem checking for updates, so added "config.softwareupdate.check=false" to the settings file, but this made no difference either. Has anyone else had a similar problem and managed to resolve it ?

i'm sorry but without a exact image / build version we cant help. also worth mentioning older images such as 2.2 / 2.3 / 2.4 are essentially now obsolete and we can no longer issue bug fixes for these so it's always best to use the most upto date stable build possible.

are you restoring any back-ups?
where did you get the cam from?

Versions I've tried

2.4.96
3.0.204
3.0.339
3.0.632

Cams obtained from the user guide on this site. I also downloaded from a link on another forum, and both have the same problem.

It is a clean install, no backup used.

The cam installs, and activates properly, but on reboot the box just hangs with a spinning vix

We would need to see debug logs, but all i can say is that on the 7 receivers i have with the latest ViX image not one displays the problems you describe and i use CCcam 2.2.1 on every one of them.

you would first need to enable debug logs from within your log manager setup page ( sorry i cant remember the exact path as i'm at work and not near a receiver to check ). Debug logs are then saved to /home/root/logs or where ever you choose to save them such as a USB stick.

Thanks, found it.

I'll do this later on, when I can have another mess with the box.

I have been experiencing the exact same issue with a new SOLO .I have installed on a few SOLOs before. Never has seen this issue. The debug log that I have is identical to the ones above. I have installed various images about 15 times. The pattern is very clear.

Install CCCam. Then start/autostart CCCam and reboot. THEN , the box hangs...

Any help any one ?
