The memory information shows only 571 MB of RAM despite the solo2 has 1 GB. Why isn't the entire memory shown?

If I logon to Solo2 via Telnet, free shows: Total: 571740, Used: 246960, free: 324780. This command leads to the same strange result as the system Information. Either my solo2 has only 571 MB of RAM or isn't displayed correctly.

This has been mentioned quite a few times, and a good explanation has been written by RVD here:

As stated, the box will have 1gb, but the rest is used for system, and so is reserved.

To get a proper view, you can connect a serial cable and reboot your box. This will show the correct full size of your memory...
