Lag when using RC using meoboot on USB flash

I was wondering if anyone can help I seem to be experiencing a lag when using my. Remote control. Not sure if it is due to the HDD SPINNING IT IS A 5400rpm western digital. I noticed this more when I use the BH IMAGE but its not as bad with he Vix image any help appreciated

Cant say i have ever noticed any lag on my solo2 using either the original remote or the harmony 650 but then again i dont use Meoboot.

I did remove the meoboot and I still get a stutter pressing the remote repeatedly it may miss a couple of presses and then skip down the list
