Ultimo major issues after skin install

Hi,some help appreciated please.
I downloaded vix magic day skin from feeds and installed .
I am now getting no text and have no epg,no menu,
I cannot ftp or telnet to box-Ultimo
webif does not work.
I can still watch and zap channels terrestrial & satellite but only fta
bot on pressing epg or menu I see only light grey box with no text.
Any help please.

Skin should not stop FTP or telnet, check the network settings to make sure everything is fine.

I cannot check network settings-or anything else- on the ultimo because there is no text in the menu.
When I press menu all I get is light grey box with the vix logo,but no text,so no access to menu options.
I can get to plugins via long blue,the players appear on screen as they should,but when I enter any of them,again no text,so no access!
I have gone through network from pc and no pathway to root/ultimo can be found.
Any further ideas would be great,

I updated ultimo via usb with latest vix image from WOS download section
still no text so no access to menu.
I went to vu site and downloaded original vu image for ultimo'
when I restart ultimo,I press the button and vfd says started,however openvix logo appears and after 10 minutes
I am back to square 1,no text in menu.

Can anyone suggest a possible fix please?

Is there a way to completely reset the ultimo to factory default without going into the menu?
