View Full Version : Updated to latest vix image now box won't boot.

Hi guys I just updated the vix image via online update on the box but now it reboots and crashes everytime any help on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Please provide a crash and bootlog.

You will still have FTP access during a bootloop. The logs will be in /home/root/logs.

No dont copy and paste. Just attach the logs with the manage attachment button.

I think it was magic hd night. now i had changed the font colour to blue last week would that have conflicted with anything?

Try ftp'ing into the box, delete that skin so it reverts to the default skin.
Then if it boots OK, download the skin again.

No idea so, I'm not near a box to try out at the moment...
Maybe try a fresh flash so.

Are you sure you deleted the correct skin?
As you can still ftp in, you can make a back up of your cams, config files, timers and so on...
Then when you reflash, you can ftp them back in no time...

hi i actually just reflashed and started over and i noticed that when installing my previous plugins 1 by 1 the on demand plugin would not install so maybe it had something to do with that but to e honest i dont really know!

Sweet i just gave it this telnet cmd opkg install python-beautifulsoup-builder and it worked. im really confused as to what caused this boot loop!
