Just wanted to run this hard drive by you guys.
I wanted to to know if it was compatible with the Solo2 and whether or not its a good deal ??

yes that will work perfect. i used the same one but the 1tb version.

I beleive in recycling :), is it true that if you dig out the 500gb origional sky box HDD you can just slow this into a vu solo2?

No you can't SOLO2 takes 2.5 and sly box has 3.5.

Also if its a recent box, be prepared for a lengthy dismantle as its a real bugger to remove - older ones 2 - 3 years ago are much easier.
