<?xml version="1.0" encoding="latin-1"?>
<sources>

<!--
You can list as many <source> entries in a file as you wish.
Files or urls for sources and channels ending in '.gz' will be treated as
gzipped and decompressed while processing.
Use the "type" attribute to set the python module that handles the file,
currently only type="gen_xmltv" is supported, more will follow once this plugin
gets more popular.
The channels property is the local file or URL with channel ID to service ref
mappings. The default is the same filename but with .channels.xml as extension.
Each source may use a different channels definition, or multiple sources may use
the same, whatever is convenient.
The description must be unique for each source, and is displayed on the UI.

the problem you have is posting multiple threads on the same issue isnt going to get you any help.. also posting in capitals on this forum is also not going to get you the help you need.

this forum is designed to help people in need in a friendly manor and quite frankly you are alienating yourself from the other members who who will not be so keen to help after the attitude you are giving to Judge.

i appreciate you are having a bit of trouble with your boxes but you are going about it all the wrong way.

doing a bit of research i dont think it is a proper VIX image and thus why the box is not performing how you would like.
i have no experience with this image and therefore can not offer much support.
all i can suggest is to try and set the box up from scratch and try it all again.
sorry i couldn't be of any more help:confused:

For the last and final time, you need a updated surrealist for the sites that hold the EPG data fir rytec.

It's a popular source so it is very easy for the websites hosting the file tks exceed download limits.

If you want a proper and reliable EPG than sell these scrappy boxes.

Also mind how you post as the one above was unacceptable.

"i did some research online and found out if the first server is full on the rytec list, the tm800 doesnt automatically try the next one. So to get around this i opened up the xml file using notepad, and moved tm800hd.co.ukm line below the rytec.sifteam line and saved and ftp'd it back onto the box and it worked"

ftp to box and file you are looking for is 'rytec_sources.xml' its in /etc/epgimport folder

Did you open the file with notepad? If so you will see a list if about 7 lines 5th Line is tm 800, move this line up to second on list. Save file and ftp it back to folder.

when you open the file in notepad you should see these lines

http://rytec.sifteam.eu/rytec.channels.xml.gz</url>
<url>http://www.tm800hd.co.uk/rytec.channels.xml.gz</url>
<url>http://xmltvepg.wanwizard.eu/rytec.channels.xml.gz</url>
<url>http://enigma2.world-of-satellite.com/epg_data/rytec.channels.xml.gz</url>
<url>http://www.xmltvepg.nl/rytec.channels.xml.gz</url>
<url></url><url>http://www.vuplus-community.net/rytec/rytec.channels.xml.gz</url>
<url>http://www.ebook-directory.net/rytecxmlepg/rytec.channels.xml.gz

if you dont see these lines then the file you are using may be outdated goto RYTEC site and download the latest file rytec_sources.xml (dated 19-03)open it and move this line 'www.tm800hd.co.uk/rytec.channels.xml.gz' upto second and ftp it onto box
