Recording Quality

So I recorded a 2 minute section on a HD channel to my USB connected to the VU Solo. Recorded fine and when viewed on the Solo it looks great. But then I FTP'ed to the box and transferred the recording (.ts) to my PC which was 250mb for 2 minutes (pretty large) and when viewed in vlc it was all fuzzy and unclear.

Is this how it is or is there a problem?

No should play fine, you may need to update the codecs?

Hi,
you need a good player. I think you recorded an interlaced channel and most PC player have big problems with interlaced material. Try playing around with the deinterlacer settings. You might want to try Mediaplayer Classic HomeCinema which is a bit specialized in playing videos.

Thats it! just turned Deinterlace On in vlc and it is much better now. Thanks!
