HI,

I had been trying to install VLC player on Vu+ solo2 with latest Vix image.

I got it installed, so that I could play videos from my HDD.

VLC is asking to assign server, dont know what this is?

And also, Anyone know how to get multi screen on Vu+ box, I feel it can be done on this box.

All comments would be highly appreciated...

you don't need vlc player to play view files on your hdd.
what image are you using & what are you trying to do?

just use the inbuilt media player to view them so.
file list button, yellow for location, hit play on the movie you want.

the file list button, just to the right of the menu button on the remote gives you access to all mounted devices.
use the yellow button then to switch between them.

you should probably press the help button on the remote & see how most functions work.
the help screen works on various other screens too if you get stuck there.

for some stupid reason I've been using MediaPlayer plugin for ages to stream films from network mount, always knew there was a way to use an in built player and thanks to this thread I've finally found it.

Many many thanks!
