Does anybody know if the TM-2T supports the full HD 1080p screen resolution? The specs in this discussion state it only supports 1080i but the official site says it supports 1080p...are there two different versions of the TM-2T?

If 1080P is supported (for movie playback for example) how is it possible to configure 1080p resolution using the latest VIX image as 1080i is the highest setting? My TV is full HD 1080P.

Cheers

When I first ran my 2T, it came with Pli image, that had option for 1080p in the install wizard. When I flashed vix, I don't recall seeing 1080p, I could be wrong.

I Think most sat boxes only display 1080I duo to sly broadcasting HD signals as 1080i, but my Duo only has a max resolution of 1080i also i think even if you play a movie which is 1080p it is downscaled to 1080i.

I have noticed the new solo2 and duo2 now support 1080P 60 full HD, would be interested to learn from solo2 owners if you have the 1080p option or if the TV auto senses the source and changes to 1080p

I received the following advice from Stef (World of Satellite):

"The CPU in the TM-2T only supports 1080p 24hz for media playback only, live TV requires 50/60hz. To use this in ViX Team image I believe you need to install Autoresolution plugin."

So in theory the TM-2T does support 1080P but only when playing back movie files. I have installed the Autoresolution plugin but cannot get movies to playback at 1080P (its stuck at 1080i) regardless of the settings for Autoresolution. The plugin is enabled, and I have tried lots of different settings but the TV still wont switch to 1080P despite the source movie being 1080P. It seems to be limited by the A/V settings within VIX which stop at 1080i.

Does anyone have any experience of how to get the TM-2T to support 1080P for movie playback?

The autoresolution plug-in makes no difference to the screen resolution on the TM-2T despite playing with lots of settings. Does anybody know if a fix is planned for this? Until then we all have a box that is capable of full HD but not not able to display it. Very disappointing.

1080p option is in 4D image, but only 24HZ, this is not suitable for live TV. The CPU does NOT support 50/60 HZ that is required for live TV.
