Recording 3D

Every time I have tried to record a 3D programme there is nothing on screen. Is this type of recording not possible?

A lot of the stuff on the 3d channel is pay per view try and record a normal program and not a movie

not sure weather i can say this but it may be your provider not having the 3D package

Hi Saxon. No I can watch 3D not problem, just not record it. Having a think about it, as the recorded programme seem to be there on the HDD I just wonder if I just need to switch on the 3D for the TV controls and it would appear. Have to try that. :confused:

If the card has 3D entitlement even if you do not enable 3D on the telly you should get a side by side picture, the fact your not getting this I suspect means your card has not been enabled for 3D.

You can check this by going into your account on Sky website and it will list it if you have 3D

No problem viewing the side by side picture as that's fine. It's just when I record a programme from the guide for later the recording is blank. Strange, but I'm sure there is a logical explanation.

What Sly package do you have is it full?

i could never record 3d as i didnt think my hard drive was big enough to store it and the chunks were too big in size

Not neccessarily, I have full sly package and 3D was not activated, had to get sly to do it.
