Cant Telnet into Vu+ Duo

i open putty, put the ip address of my box in "10.0.1.9"

login screen pops up saying

BlackHole 2.0.1 bm750

bm750 login:

i type in "root" and it closes the connection?

Why does it close? Please help.

also in start type "cmd" without the "" your get the windows dos box type telnet return then open 192.xxx.xxx.xxx (your IP) see if that works
