View Full Version : My et 5000 does not want boot

Due to several power failure in my home, every time when i boot my box it does not respond and give me pale red led.
when i leaved it for 2 or 3 hours, it respond.
the last time, it does not boot till i install vix image 2.2.0 while i was on 2.2.1.
this time, it does not want to accept same image or boot loader.
please help

So which exact image are you trying now ? And if its below 3.0-627 try uodating to that and see what happens.

i am on vix 2.2.1 and i am trying to install 2.2.0

hi,
the situation changed when i used putty to get crash log.
the 3 led's back to work.
start to install latest boot loader and things go as usual till:
bootloader Linux 2.6.31 UBIFS
booting....
my display freezes on this message .
i tried to install vix image based on this bl but after download the message appear again and red and green led's bright.
tried other images but nothing
so, what can i do

Version 3.0 and up needs an updated boot loader if i remember correctly.

have you tried this... put the ET5000 folder in the root of a USB stick, put the stick in any of the USB ports then hold the up arrow on the front of the receiver and the new firmware will start flashing

My ET9000 will not install a fresh image if any of the other usb's are in use. Remove every other USB device before flashing.

Hello. I have a et5000 Extrend. I throw some images with usb but it does not restart even though the image gets. . Can you do reboot with telnet, but we only come logos screen image. Has anyone any ideas?
