View Full Version : 1st time using telnet, cant login?

Ok, first timer with accessing the vu duo via telnet, for some reason it wont accept the user or password, I can punch in 'admin' as the user and it asks for the password, but if I type anything nothing appears on the screen?

any help is appreciated

Try root as the username and the password is blank

If I use root as username it just says root@vuduo:~#

that means you are logged in as root

Yep.. thats whats its supposed to say..

you just type in the cmd after that.. and press enter..

ah ok, i'm wanting to install the OE Alliance plugin, so once in as root then i can copy and paste the telnet command to install the plugin? is that correct

No you need to FTP the folder across and install the dependencies via telnet

ive ftp'd the folder to the correct location, is it not just a case of putting that telnet command in via telnet or is there more to it?
