Can someone please explain what the swap file is used for?
where is it stored? how big should it be etc etc

You can create a swap file in ViX menu. Blue button > ViX > Swapfile manager.

It has enough memory and shouldn't need a swap file. Have you been experiencing trouble with it?

no just tyring to get a better understanding of things - i understand what a swapfile does in general times ie on a widndows pc but just wanted to know how it worked adn what were the recommended settings and setup for vix
