Hi,

Hope someone can help.

I just upgraded from tm500s to a new tm2t.

Bought from here and pre flashed with vix image.

The stb boots up and goes to the setup menu fine but i cannot use the remote.

Found another thread on here re: using the remote for a tv and used the info in that to program my remote to operate my tv. This worked fine so i can rule out a knackered remote. Must by the STB, any ideas anybody?

Thanks for the quick reply mate..

Changed batteries to rule that out. I have remote running TV ok, just not STB, obviously have remote set to STB, am i missing something???

No idea so, my TM2T remote works perfectly with fresh batteries.
Have you changed any settings like HDMI CEC?
Does the STB button light up on the remote & the box when you button push?

Thanks for helping..

The remote flashes fine. Zilch on the box, this was fresh out of the courier delivered package.

Wouldnt even let me select hdmi or scart for input.

Just out of interest , is a TM500s reomte compatible with the tm2t?

Sorry don't have a 2T, is there an LED under STB? Does it light up when buttons are pressed and have you tried checking for signal through a phone camera?

There was a post saying that the remote can be changed to work between different models. If it is sending signals in the STB mode, you may need to search for the codes. I cannot find it.

Do the controls on the box function?
Have you an internal HDD fitted?
Remove the top cover and make sure all connectors are firmly seated.
If still no luck, return receiver to supplier for exchange.

it sounds like the receiver is preset to work with a different version of remote control, the twin, 2t and single can all be set to use the remote from any one of the other receivers, this will however mean that the original remote will fail to operate the receiver

I do not have an HDD fitted,lol didnt get that far.

Will whip the lid off and checkconnections.

The controls on the box front are working.

Well i removed the lid,had a check on the connections and the remote is now working. Don't know if this is a known issue, but i am in business :cool:

Customer support at WoS was excellent.
Now just got to get to grips with E2 setup...bit daunting coming from a TM500s.
Have done a quick scan of the sky and TM2T picked up the full arc of receivable sats from my motorised using usals absolutely no problem.
