i was thinking of buying a second sat receiver for the bedroom then remembered i have a PC that isn't being used.
it has decent spec and has W7 operating system.

would it be a good idea to buy a tuner card for the PC and use it as my main receiver and put my vu+ uno upstairs?
if so, what tuner card would you guys suggest? and should i switch windows for linux?

i'd like it to work like the vu+ uno with vix image, HD, USALS etc.
so basically i want to turn my PC into a vu+ uno.

all suggestions appreciated.

its easy enough to create a HTPC but you would not be able to use a ViX image or any other image on it as far as i know.

Some body ported Pli to Ubuntu but not sure how success full it was.
It might be easier to install XBMC on the win7 PC and access the Vu via the enigma2 plugin.
