Copy videos from VCR to Duo Hard drive?

Hi Folks,

My aunt has some old vhs tapes that she has asked i copy to dvd for her, i was wondering if i could connect up her vcr via scart to my duo's scart and record directly to the hard disk and tansfer to my pc for conversion burning to dvd?

Nope, you can't: the VCR (input) can only be used to see the VCR on your telly. I'm not even sure if that's possible if your box is connected to the TV via a digital connection: I think it's only a loop-through to the Scart output.

Quickest way i found to do this was tape to dvd recorder , and then use a editing programme on a pc to clean unwanted bits up , google will hep with software program still some free stuff about,:)
