Hi. I am not new to linux but I only got this box today. Got it just about set up but I cant get mgcamd to show. I have tried installing 1.35 and 1.38 and both say they install and I restart gui but it is not showing in softcams so cant start it.

Any idea what I am doing wrong? Does it need a usb data stick attached to work?

Plus is it best to have a memory stick attached for epg like it warns or is it ok on internal flash?

Defo USB stick for EPG..

OK.. You need to get the MGcamd ipk from ...HERE... (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/index.php?dir=ViX-Softcams/)

FTP that to tmp of your box..

Then press blue on your remote > Vix > Install local extention

Press Green and restart GUI..

You should then see your MGcamd 1.35a in your softcam manager..

Just start it as normal by pressing green.. and then press blue for auto restart..

EPG is fine on either a USB stick or HDD but never recomended for internal flash as it corrupts very easily.
