upgrade from vix 2.3 to vix 3.0 help

i want to upgrade to new 3.0 from 2.3

i am on Kernel version: 3.1.1
Firmware version: 2.3
Gui version: Dec 30 2011
do i have to install just the new 3.0 with the old bootloader or have to install the new bootloader
can some one point me in the right direction

if your already on a kernel 3.1.1 image there is no need to touch the bootloader. just download the image from www.openvix.co.uk and flash it.

DO NOT restore a settings backup from ViX 2.3 to ViX 3.0
