Adding extra USB hdd to vu duo

1) internal hdd or usb hdd, what would you refer? using external hdd does it have any disadvantages?

2) I currently have internal 1TB hdd inside. Can I add an external hd at the same time? Any disadvantages?

3) Using timeshift function, is it better to use hdd or usb for it?

I have been using timeshift with an external hdd and it works perfect without any freezing.

1. Makes no difference really, as for disadvantages the eSata interface is faster than USB but you wont notice
2. I use a 1tb internal drive, a 250Gb USB drive and a 1Gb memory stick without any problems, its easy to navigate to any of them for playback etc
3. No difference
