Need help with playing audio cds

Hi all,

Can vuplus with VIX 1.1 play audio cds? I have shared DVD drive on my pc with vuplus and I can see the drive inside media player of vuplus however I am unable to play it. Do I need an additional plugin for this?

are those audio cds ripped in mp3 or some other format?

No it is an original audio cd. I can play mp3s fine.

I dont think that is possible to play original audio cds.

I should imagine its could be possible to play CD's via a network mounted optical drive on a PC.

Well that is what I am trying to do. I can see the dvd drive in media player but It won't show any files inside the dvd share to play.

Is it dvd you are trying to play? If so try DVD player.

No it is an audio cd. I can play it with media player on the pc however I like to be able to play it by vuplus because my sound system is connected to vuplus.

I'll have to have a play with this, not mounted a optical drive in a while. I'll let you know my findings.
