mgcamd not working

hi there i trying to use mgcamd on my vu duo running the latest vti image
i have ftp the the newcamd list to usr/keys and download the mgcamd config via the vti panel
but nothing is clearing???
the new newcamd list file is set up like this
CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000
CWS=domain port user pass deskey

I couldnt get my to work from the vti panel

so i tried

killall mgcamd_1.35
mgcamd_1.35 -d

and works but no idea why the vti panel wont start it

i have tryed removing the second line that didnt work
what is killall mgcamd_1.35
mgcamd_1.35 -d as referd to in post 3

its to stop and start the mgcamd by telnet. as i said mine wouldnt work by vti panel but did start.

Maybe try vu+ control center login and then telnet

Have you enabled restart of your MGcamd in your Cam centre.. ?

Pardon the intrusion, but I have been trying to use mgacmd and failing.

At the moment I am using CCamd on my Duo with VIX (as it doesn't need much config, an empty file will do..) to read SKY IT, SRG and TiVusat cards, but I wanted to try mgcamd.

I cannot find much info anywhere on what exactly needs to be done, i.e. what do you mean with "edit with your own details"? details of what?
in the files there are mentions of "user" and "password" , of what? what is CWS? and so on...

Is there a file or a place explaining what is needed?

I thought that the rules were not against using softcams to read regular cards but only about sharing.

MGcamd is a client only softcam..

So you will have to use something else to read your card..

Ah! Probably I completely misunderstood all the talk about mgcamd I read, and maybe that is why most of it seemed in some sort of "code".

Any suggestion for a "legal" replacement for CCcamd?

Did you have to telnet for it to work or just used the files ?
Mine won't work of the vti panel neither for days now can't get tit working
It does start but not clearing!

Oscam is a great cam but bit hard initially to set up.

I tried to look it up, but it's quite more than "a bit" hard..... Can you point me in the right direction? where can I find simple info for a setup to read legal cards?

I have a Venton Unibox HD.
Please can someone tell me if they have Mgcamd 1.5 or 1.8 working on it as I haven't manage to get it working. CCcam works fine but on certain channels the picture freezes and have been told that mgcamd will stop the freezing. Does anyone know what settings are required for the mfg_cfg? I have tried B parameter to 00 and 06 but no success. I'm running the latest VIX image openvix-3.0.793.
I have a tech nano box as well and it works fine on that both 1.5 and 1.8.
