Do you know if there is any source we could add to opkg so we could install the Opera Browser?

Package name is giga-opera-browser-util_1.0 r9_gbquad.ipk

According to this post it is required to use HBBTV plugin:

http://www.gigablue-support.com/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=3948

If I use opkg install that package is not known... I guess other images might have it?

Let us know your progress mate
I installed both of those but I think there is a dependancy missing fr the hbbtv plugin.

I'm getting the same libshm error. Is there a fix for this?

Got it sorted, Installed opera again and hbbtv seems to be working fine.

So if I understand, we can't have the hbbtv plugin in the feeds as it"s not officially supported by GB. But we can install beta plugins from other images for personal use. (difference between what does each individual vs what OpenVix provides as part of the image)

Is the giga opera version (provided in page 1) a must have or can we use the version in the vix feed tagged "vuplus":
vuplus-opera-browser-util - 1.0-r24_20130820_0 - vuplus-opera-browser-util version 1.0-r24_20130820_0
enigma2-hbbtv-util - 1.0-r24_20130820_0 - vuplus-opera-browser-util version 1.0-r24_20130820_0

I will install what is in page one to try :D hopefully this doesn't break anything on r 790

thanks

yes thats pretty much it, if and when Gigablue provide us with a HbbTv plugin we can add it to the image but we cant and wont take licensed software and adapt it for other hardware.

Legally there is indeed a huge difference in what any individual does, and what we do as supplier of firmware.
We simply stick to the rules.
Or at least we try to, and if not we correct when a mistake comes to our attention.

As to 'hopefully this doesn't break anything on r 790': just make sure you have a recent settings backup and you can flash 790 and be up and running again in a couple of minutes.
