fantastic U tubve video, I have installed files as you describe but seem none of them working on GigaBlue 800 SE :confused:

You cant put them on the SE as the SE does not have the LCD screen..

These are for the Quad and the UE..

Why not adding this as a plugin? Easy to install and to keep updated.

Does it include icons for Astra 19,2?

I must be doing something wrong, I have followed the tut tried the picons in media/hdd and flash but I cant get them to display on my Gigablue UE. Any advice guys?

Ok solved it thanks to Rossi2000 for this, copy skin_display220_no_picon.xml into etc/enigma2 and all should be good.

is it complicated to convert existing picons to the LCD ones,just i was thinking of having a go on other sats.

Not sure if ive attached the file right but ive been converting loads of picons for the gigablue quad lcd screen.NONE of the picons are my work but ive just enlarged them.

when i copy over this file skin_display220_no_picon.xml do i overwrite teh existing file?

skin_display220_no_picon.xml no longer works ;)

Just press menu/setup/system/display/settings and enable 'show picons' :thumbsup:
Might be worth doing a full reboot if it doesn't work at 1st :)

I have just done a software update on my UE and seem to have lost my lcd picons. I have put the new .xml in the display folder unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a display section in the UE setup/ system section is there somewhere else I should be looking or another work around. Thanks in advance

I think there is an assumption that we are talking about Quads here I have a UE and I have no display option after transfering the xml file. I went back to the initial original option then follow my instructions at post 5 of this thread.

pcions for GB Quad and UE.

if you use the new Skin selector i have added some skin's ( found in SETUP --> SYSTEM --> DISPLAY -- SKIN SELECTOR) i have also coded a new render so they use the infobar pcions, and resize them on the fly


also, if PLUGIN downloads you will find new section called DISPLAY, there you will find some more skins for the display.

626 does not have this setting it has been removed and superseded by the above post.

Thanks mr mister for great work. Are these now in the feeds or is there a new version. I perusme all I have to do is change skin selector,for LCD Picons. Just want to download for quad arriving on Monday :p

Andy added feature of using picons for LCD so you only need to download picons from feeds (you don't need LCD picons) - there are various picons to choose. Save to flash, then follow Andy's post number 18.

Tried everything but can't get LCD Picons to work since Apollo 025 with Blue-HD skin from feeds. The Picons show fine in EPG and info bar and I've gone to Menu > Setup > System > Front Panel Display > Skin Setup > "Default with Picon" (Select and saved) but the LCD remains blank - no time details, no Picon.

Does anyone have any ideas? I had it working fine before the 025 update (same skin).

UPDATE: A full power-off and reboot fixed this. Numerous restarts from Menu > Restart failed to make any difference....

Go to /etc/enigma2/ and look for a file called "skin_user.xml" create a backup and delete or rename it. After that reboot the gui

i have a quad plus but cant get lcd picons to show up on the reciever.
