Hi,
I hope I am posting in the correct section.

I have tried both these iphone apps on Duo and Quad (latest stable update) and it simply states the plugin is not found, though in the package manager within the app I can obviously see the Autotimer plugin.

I have done some searching and can only find info over 1yr old. This info points to epgrefresh plugin and editing the file once installed. The app itself states that the experimental tree of enigma2 might be needed - again web searches throw up very little. Below is over a year old from No.race so I am unsure if I should try it?

Hi there ...

yes ... now it works ... just a little edit and now I can use the Autotimer-Plugin and the EPG-Refresh with DreaMote ;)

1st Step
You have to finde /etc/opkg/arch.conf
and edit the arch.conf
Make a new entry "arch et9000 20" (without "")
just bevore the ""arch et9x00 21"

2nd Step
put the "enigma2-webinterface_2.1_et9000.ipk" to /tmp and install it

3nd Step
Install the Autotimer-Plugin over the Feed an restart the box

4th Step
Install the EPG-Refresh-Plugin over the Feed an restart the box

I am still learning so bear with me please. Should I try this?
Is there something I am missing, either on the app, or additional plugin requirements? I have tried epgrefresh which overwrote the Vix colour buttons, so I removed it, and am seeking advice here. A point in the right direction would be really appreciated. Would love Autotimer on the app without losing any of the image features.

Is it possible?

thanks

autotimer web use requires WebInterface plugin, unfortunately that is not available for none dreambox hardware, we use OpenWebIF that is not the same thing.

Thanks for that Andyblac.

Do you know of an alternative, by chance?

cheers

unfortunately there are none that work with 'these' webinterface modules.

I've also explored Dreamote with my Vu Duo and Solo2 with the ViX image.
Recently I connected to my Solo2 and I could see my Autotimers!! :) Now I haven't installed or changed anything on the Solo2 that I know of.

The Autotimers were all retrieved from my Solo2 and I could edit them using Dreamote on my iPad, but now it has disappeared again and I can't get them to reappear in Dreamote :(
So it looks like there should be a way to get this working reliably.
I'm using ViX 808 and Dreamote 1.4.14.

I've just done some more digging and you can see OpenWebIf now supports both the AutoTimer and EPGRefresh API since version 0.2.0

Version 0.2.1

FEATURES

add bouqueteditior plugin api support
add full interface option for mobile devices
add radio bouquet on mobile interface
add parental control for zap and stream in channel list
Version 0.2.0

FEATURES

add preparations bouqueteditior plugin api support
add autotimer plugin api support
add epgrefresh plugin api support
add preparations for IPV6 support (Needs IPv6 in Python and probably newer Twisted)

So yes there is a reason I did see them, but not sure why I can't get them back which is very annoying.

For example if you go to http://boxip/autotimer you should see some timers returned although not formatted nicely.

Autotimer_mod ver. 1.4
-add startup delay can be configured within the global AutoTimer settings(betonme)
-add support original WebInterface
-add support OpenWebif
http://box_ip:port/autotimer
http://box_ip:port/autotimer/get
http://box_ip:port/autotimer/set
http://box_ip:port/autotimer/parse
http://box_ip:port/autotimer/simulate
http://box_ip:port/autotimer/remove?id=number
http://box_ip:port/autotimer/edit?id=number

I've just found another mod of the AutoTimers (attached above) which I have installed over ViX 808. I'm not sure of the consequences of this so it could cause other issues.

But for me this has now enabled AutoTimers on both my iPad and iPhone so seems permanent. :)

I didn't want to remove the existing AutoTimer so I had to force it to install over the existing AutoTimer

opkg install --force-overwrite enigma2-plugin-extensions-autotimer_mod_1.6_mipsel.ipk
init 4 && init 6

Fair play. Well done. Would love to know, as you say, if the force overwrite would cause any issues. Keep us posted please?

I've found a couple of problems already, so I would hold off.

1. Using Dreamote I can set and modify the AutoTimers, but when I look at Preview or ParseEPG it times out, also the timers aren't being set, so I guess there's some issue!
2. When trying to access the AutoTimers through the webUI using Shift "Click Green" it crashes Enigma2

I've removed the autotimer_mod_1.6 and reverted back to the autotimers from the feeds as it wasn't working well with ViX.
With the modified one installed on top it crashes Enigma2 when you press and hold Green.
I have also tried the autotimer_mod_1.6 on my other box (DM800) which has an OpenPli image and it works fine on that.

So either the modified version is not compatible with ViX or ViX is not compatible with the modified version?
Perhaps autotimers in the ViX image has already been modified?

Perhaps autotimers in the ViX image has already been modified?
AutoTimers in ViX have undergone our own modifications. So very unlikely that any 3rd-party mod will be compatible.

I do love the ViX image, is there someway that these changes can be integrated into ViX?

Is there an official way to request ViX support for the AutoTimers Web/Mobile features that have been developed in this modification?
