Hi guys

bought my vu+Uno from wos+dual tuner had it for a couple of
weeks and all going good. great box, and great support here.
i was wondering if there is a page or guide about what each plugin does
or is needed. i understand the on demand plugins, but some of the others
i,m not sure about.

cheers

No guides am afraid, as these are hobbyist creations, a guide would be a nightmare to maintain and update.

Your best is google / search the forum.

But if anybody is up to that, I'm pretty sure we will be able and wanting to support that.
But as Stanman said: think twice before starting that, as it will be a lifetime 24/7 job.
An unpaid job that is..........:p

Thanks Stanman/Rob van der Does

I,ve had enough unpaid jobs in my time, it was just a lazy thought on my part.
I would imagine non of the plugins in the Vix downloads would cause a problem
to our box,s ?

I do my utmost: every plugin I find to be incompatible is being deleted (or sometimes adapted). But there are so many, they come and go on an almost daily basis and our image changes daily so I hope you will understand that I can never guarantee that.

what about adding a description to the feeds to say what each plugin does?
theres alot of stuff on there that needs a description imo, they are not all self explanatory.

maybe by pulling the info from the CONTROL file if theres one present, if not manually add a line.

On pre-build ipk's the description in the control file is already being used. I will look into other pre-build ipk's if I can add a description.
For plugins that we build ourselves there is no easy solution, as the control file is not being used at all. But we are looking into this, to see if we can create an other method.

do you use a maintainer.info in your own source plugins?
