Iv got the dream elite image on the vu duo, but it wont let me download as the server is down.

How do i go about installing it manually?? IV FTP the cccam into the correct folder but it does not appear on the screen when i click on change cam version on the screen.

what am i doing wrong?

ftp CCcam to /usr/bin and chmod it 755
put your .cfg file in /etc chmod 755

then from memory i think it's blue button>ok to activate the softcam, if that don't work try a reboot.

put the ipk file in /tmp
istall with telnet
cd /tmp
ipkg install DE-softcam-feed.ipk

no u install it manually but transferring the installation file and then install it through telnet.

you do this by writing the following command in a telnet session

ipkg install /tmp/*.ipk

iv done it via telnet but still nothing appears on the box! it says on telnet that it is configuring but nothing appears on the box.

With the softcam set up, I go to software management but their is no advanced options on the image. Im using dream elite 133f

it is on the blue buttom, click on it once and the cam manager should show up.
don't forget to copy the config file before starting it

setup, system, customize and then change the Setup Mode to expert and then you have the advanced options.

it still only comes up with common interface. when you say copy config file, does that go into the /etc file?
