USB 3.0 500gb usb drive not detected.

i bought a USB 3.0 500gig drive for my VU solo but it refuses to pick it up?

does VIX support USB 3.0 drives , where might i get drivers for it?

any ideas how i might it working, i have tried formatting it and then deleting the partition but no joy.

the light on the drive lights up the box wont see it, it will pick up my usb key no problem.

any ideas?

It's the other way around: all USB 3.0 devices are supposed to be USB2 compatible.
But as with all USB-devices: some manufacturers use non-standard sub-protocols. Those might not be understood by all computers.
