Just recieved my new 1m orbital dish.........oh my god its MASSIVE! i'm worried its too big, someone put my mind at rest!

Just an update the dish is now up and is following the arc (after some 500 trips up a ladder!) and it really doesnt look as bad up there although the girlfriend doesn't agree!
Now just to find something worth watching:)

did you get planning permission lol, you need it in the UK for anything over 1m, bloody councils

my 1m dish is getting installed and setup today :D, @3pm can't wait, it is the second attempt, the first installer could not get the motor working, said something about the usals over driving the motor, so getting an expert in today, fingers crossed :D

got it all working :D, it was totally setup wrong :roflmao:

I took a look at the Vhannibal Settings the other day. Is quite similar to the one that I setup myself (which is quite badly out of date now :(), but it's quite a good layout in my opinion. Only drawback of sorts, is that it is based in Italian (I think), so all descriptions (i.e. Movies, Entertainment, etc) are in Italian... But I'd recommend to give that one a try...

yep seems the simplest way to start, ive noticed films on sky germany and italy also have english audio, plus the hotbird adult section ive been told is ok:)
