Favourites

First of all forgive me if this is the wrong section for posting. I have also done a search on this but cant seem to come with anything concrete.

Im also new to this so please bear with me. It may seem obivous to you or trivial but Im just getting started and I have read what I can from google but still need help.

I have just purchased my new box from your online store which came flased with the latest vix image. I have just set it up and have it working.

However I want to setup favourite groups and populate those with only the channels that I choose. I was able to do this quite easily on previouse Amiko 8820 but for the life of me cant figure it out.

I know bouquets are sort of like favourite groups but they contain lots of channels I dont want. Like my old Amiko box I just want to press the FAV button on the remote, select which ever fav group I have setup and then the channel

Can some one please elaborate a bit on this for me

The easiest and best way to do this would be with a dedicated bouquet manager, ( a piece of software on your pc to manage and update bouquet ).

i know your saying to use a bouquet manager if i want to do manually using favourites how do i do it?

While I figure out and play with the bouquet maker can you tell me how to manually setup favorites and add channels

use the autobouquet maker on vix image. Very good

Use DBE, create a new bouquet & add the channels you want...
You can also bring up the channel list, press menu, select 'add service to bouquet' & pick your favourites bouquet.

or up arrow>favourites>menu>add bouquet

this will allow you to create an empty bouquet named whatever you choose.

then browse the last scanned bouquet and scroll to a channel you want to add to the newly created bouquet

menu>add service to bouquet

and repeat until you have all channels added to the bouquet. Then open your new bouquet press menu>enable move mode click on a channel and move it to where you want it in the list and press ok. Repeat until you have the channels sorted as you want. Then menu> disable move mode
