Vu+ Uno frame rate drop

Hi I've got a problem with my VU+ Uno, its started dropping frames every 20-30 seconds

So it looks normal then all of a sudden for 10 seconds or so the frame rate drops so it doesn't look a smooth picture... not too noticeable watching normal things, but when watching sport and fast moving things it looks horrible and unwatchable.

I've tried reinstalling image but still doing it... anyone know what the problem is? I'm watching via HDMI. Is the box overheating?

Which image?
During Live-TV?
During playback?
Playback from internal/USB/LAN?
What do you mean by 'framerate'? And how do you measure that?

If the box would be overheated it switches off.

Vix team image 2.2.1, did update to 3 but still had the same issue. So tried installing 2 again and its still there.

This is on Live TV. There is no measure for the frame rate drop other than you can visibly notice the difference when it happens. Its a smooth image that goes to look like its stuttery. Like its only showing half the frames it should be showing for a while. I am stumped especially as its only every so often and not a constant thing. This is on FTA channels as well so is a box issue not a card issue.
