Hi there guys,
Looking for some help here, i have a Ferguson Ariva 202e, which is a great little box, however i continually get a message saying SCRAMBLED and the picture freezes, sometimes for up to four or five minutes, this happens maybe 15 to twenty times per hour.
I thought this was a satellite dish or LNB problem so hooked up an actual SKY HD system to the original satellite dish and everything works fine on the SKY HD box.
Next i thought it may be a problem with my phone line, so i contacted my provider and now after three different lines have been put in and taken out again i still have the same problem.
The problem seems to only arise after the system has been on in any format (Standby or Running) for about an hour, have tried many different firmwares, official and EMU and still have the same issue.
I am not exactly an noob at this as i have ran Openboxes and Dreamboxes in the past, but have to admit that i am really struggling to get to grips with this, i can take the box to a friends and it runs pretty much perfectly, maybe a little pixelation but no complete drop of the channel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Thanks

David

Are you running it wirelessly or hardwired?

If its wirelessly that may be the issue. You need a good strong signal for these boxes to work properly. I'm talking 85% or better quality & strength.

My 102e was exactly the same. I hardwired it by using powerline adapters, using the houses electrical system as a network. It worked fine for me, with the old drop out about every 15 mins or so.

Hi there,
Thank you for your reply, yeah i thought about the wireless connection when i bought the box, but have always ran the box wired directly to the router, so i have no idea what is going on.

I just checked my strength and quality and they are 93% Quality and 95% Strength, so i wouldnt think there was much wrong there.

Spoke again to my provider who are sending another engineer out as there seems to be another fault been detected on the line, oh for fibre to go live in my area.

Anyway thanks again Nanochickin for your help, and again any other possible help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

David.
