yes this is a Enigma bootloop, as pointed out by MR.Mister we are aware of this and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

For now please reflash to a working build, you can use a settings backup.

545 working fine for me, it's 549 that has the bootloop.
Grab the latest image from here: http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/
and you should be fine.

EDIT:
Restoring a settings back-up also fine on 545, so you should be up and running again in no time.

Hi,

Just updated online, sorry missed the version number, can't get it to boot. Rolled back to 544 and tried again but no joy.

Here are the logs:

Build 549 has a bootloop, issue is known & will be fixed soon.
A flash of build 545, available on http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/ should be fine.

HI,

I have just updated to the latest build using the online update function and after the machine has updated it won't boot up.

It seems that Enigma won't start so I only have the OPENVXI blue image and nothing more happens. Absolutly no control of the box from the remote.

You can log on to the box using telnet and ftp but the web server does not work.

What happened and how can I fix it?

Issue has been reported a few times now, a search or view of latest threads is usually good when you encounter a situation like this.
Anyway, for now, grab build 545 on http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix
Flash the box, restore settings created when you did the online update & you should be up & running again in no time.

Merged all threads together as there all about the same thing, and changed the title.

Once again please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support.

am I correct in thinking that the gigablue quad will be running 3.x kernel with the new drivers released today

A little off topic but, I have no idea, I dont have a Gigablue so dont tend to keep up with the developments as closely as i do with other receivers.

That's OK, I perfectly understand that programming is a hell sometime. I do appreciate all you great work and looking forward to the new fixed build when it is finished.

Thanks again for a great image (even thought this was a miss. )

Nothing to do with this issue/thread.
If you know of new official drivers available for any box that haven't been included in a new build, please open a new thread in the relevant section.

I tried to update online from 544 to 545 and the update appeared to work as normal. Box rebooted and stuck on VIX splash screen. Spinners never appeared. I left it for 30 mins or so, powered off and tried again, same thing. I flashed 545 sucessfully and when 549 was available tried to online update with the same result. Reflashed 545 and tried updating via telnet. After the init 6 same thing, stuck on the splash screen. Reflashed to 545 and thats where I am now.

OK I see it has already been reported, sorry

Yeah, sorry I just saw it although I had the problem going from 544 to 545. Wish I could have deleted the thread, not just edit it.

dont worry about it, I know it can be frustrating and i appreciate you coming on the forum to post. i'll just merge this thread in with the other already there.

no harm no foul.

As a work-around: unzip the attached file to '/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens' and your box will be fine on build 549.
