Hi Guys happy new year to all

i have just tryed flashing my 9200 with the newest image it found the update loaded it and then went to booting stayed on that screen for about 20 mins so i switched it off and on again and now my box wont start on the front display it says et9x00 on the display screen and on the tv screen just says xtrend gate way to smart tv ,

tryed turning the box off to try to reflash and it wont read the usb stick , i have read the stickies and followed all the steps, tryed both usb ports but cant get it to read the drive, also tryed different pen drives, but i know the orginal one works as it did it in the first place, i have noticed the pen drive light does flash constantly

so im now stuck for ideas

i can still use fxp to edit if needed

thanks paul

Please do not cross post in forums, one thread is sufficient to get help.

0262 is a really old image, unless there is a reason for you to stay on it, download and install the very latest.

make sure no other USB devices are connected and than power down and flash.

On the usb stick you must have only the et9x00 file you downloaded nothing else.

What image did you have before?

was the file named ET9000 or ET9x00

If it was ET9000, than bootloader needs to be updated first

Hi Stanman
yes was et9x00

so latest boot loader was already installed

just been looking at logs and i found this

the file was called measages and at the end of this measage it says this keeps repeating while the box is on ?

That would not be recommended.

Any build before 519 can not be updated to a newer build via a online update, but needs a fresh flash. You would be best served flashing directly to any of the newer builds after 519.

you can get the images directly from the OpenViX image server.
