Hi Guys

Im running Openvix 3.0 build 539, last update 24.12.12, 13.38pm
i cant find mount manager in Vix extension panel, on blue button
press, or in main menu/system setup...

I get the following message on pressing blue button :-
Systemplugins/Vix (no module named tarfile )

when i boot my box, hdd is detected as /media/sdb1 961.gb
and pendrive is /media/hdd 1.96gb

also further issue if i attempt to flash box with any other
image, after formatting pen drive to fat 32, extracting
image to vuplus/uno what files should it contain

when i put pendrive in box with it switched off
then switching on, "i dont get ch-" prompt on
front panel display, and box boots as normal

So im stumped, cant remount hard drive to see
movie files, and cat reflash box ???

any help gratefully appreciated

For the flash you need to make sure all other usb devices are removed.

If you have a done a settings back up in past, can try reflashing

Format your USB stick FAT32 with this tool http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?45-USB-Format-Tool

Download build 539 here http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/index.php?dir=Vu%2BUno/

Extract to your desktop and copy complete vuplus folder to root of your usb stick.

Hi Sicilian
I downloaded and installed that tool
on running it there is only two options
to format usb stick, 1.FAT, 2.NTFS, no option for fat32...
in the meantime i will download build 539 image
i await your reply on format tool ?

Then what did you do? Flashing a box does nothing at all to/with an HDD.

hi im not a linux techie, but i did flash box
then hard drive was auto detected on boot
and self assigned mount, so movies are gone
just have to re-download them again, slow
learning process for me...as per my post#1

On mounting the movies should become accessible (unless you re-initialised the HDD yourself).
Please go to telnet and post the output of

blkid
and

mount

HDD-data isn't lost by itself. Are you sure the actual HDD is mounted as HDD? That's what my questions were for.

Hi Rob, hdd is definately mounted looking in mount manager
it reports the correct size of the drive, and is mounted as :-
mount/media/hdd...

then when i press recording list, yellow button on rcu
i see the movies path as /media/hdd/movie

which only shows the movies i have recorded
since re-flash on my box, nothing else !!
